Using the insurance listings
Start with your exact plan.
Accepting insurance is not the same as being in-network. Ask both the office and your insurer about your dentist, office location and full plan name before care.
What the listings tell you
“View in-network details” opens the plans reported by that practice, along with any limits and the date we checked. Unknown means we have not verified an in-network plan. It does not mean the office is out of network.
A company name alone is not enough. Delta Dental Premier, for example, is different from Delta PPO or DeltaCare. “Network not specified” means the office did not name a particular network. Dentist, location, age and HMO limits still apply.
What will you pay?
In-network status does not tell you the full cost. Ask your insurer what it will pay and ask the office for an estimate of your share.
Understand insurance, membership plans and DLRHow we keep insurance details current
We check practice websites and show the source dates. Insurance has a 30-day review window; expired statements stop appearing in interactive results. A saved page or a page without JavaScript is a dated snapshot. Always check your plan directly.
